The Shrive
A downloadable game for Windows
The Shrive is a first person perspective game for Personal Computers. The game is centered around the protagonist, Mr. Benjamin Vorto, who takes up various paranormal cases sent to him by his adoptive Father, Rt.Rev. Francis Vorto, a Bishop who answers directly to the Vatican. He is also a novice exorcist trained by his father.
The game starts with the protagonist leaving to a haunted house to investigate about the various paranormal events that have been reported to have been happening. The player gets to live the life of the protagonist by being in his shoes and gets to know him better and better as the game progresses.

FHey, just anyone know intro from this games? The name of song or music? Please help me. Its makes me creepy..
Please upload the game to itch.io instead of giving a Google Drive link. If you upload it to itch.io, people can download it instantly. On Google Drive I had to wait 2-5 minutes for it to generate a zip file of the game folder that I can download..
I'm excited to see how the story continues!

We just want to let you know that this game prototype is just 10-15 minute of experience which is just one chapter of our game design idea i.e. The Shrive. It is done by two students (Anuj and karthik) of National Institute of Design Bangalore in very limited period of time.

Had a fun time with this one, did run into a bug getting a white screen instead of the artwork but still a good time :)

Greetings i m trying to download the game but when i hit the link nothing happens .....
same thing happened with few people, just check your pop up settings in chrome or try to update your chrome...

The game seem to crash for me when escaping through the window in the fire
actually, the game is still in the prototyping stage. Yes when you escape from the window at that time that chapter ends and the game stops, so basically this is one complete chapter which we did till now.
Fair enough :) just seemed like a kinda sudden ending :
Won't let me download both from website and Itchio app. I am not sure if its just on my end or what but I wanted to let you know!
I cross-checked it, the download link is working. It might be a problem of your internet browser, sometimes it hides the download popup. Just check the browser setting ones, if still didn't work then let me know.
I just tried again and the download button is there but when I click it it just sits there and doesn't start to begin the download. I tried the app again and it just sits in the download section and when I click it to start it just greys it out and nothing happens. (other games work fine) Sorry for the hassle!
